In the later years of World War I Hitler grew paranoid that people within the German armed forces were plotting to have him killed. To defend against possible poisoning he enlisted the services of 15 young woman to be his "taste testers" to test for poison. Like canaries in a mine they were forced to eat each of his meals to test for possible poisonings.
During this time these woman were not only subject to the daily torture of wondering if each meal would be their last but were additionally subject to the harshness of war, regular beatings and assaults by the German armed forces, and no way of escape.
Based on true events we follow this extraordinary story which follows the life of the only woman out of the 14 others who was to survive this ordeal.
